Youth’s body found in lake

BATHINDA: Volunteers of the NGO Sahara Jan Sewa took out a body from lake number two of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant.



Bathinda, February 5

Volunteers of the NGO Sahara Jan Sewa took out a body from lake number two of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant.

The volunteers got a phone call about the body floating in the lake. It appeared to be of a youth in his mid twenties. The identity of the deceased could not be established and his body has been kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital. The police were informed about the incident.

In another incident, a teenage girl tried to end her life by jumping into one of the lakes but was rescued by bystanders. — TNS
