Arvind Virmani is FICCI’s economic mentor

NEW DELHI: Arvind Virmani, former Chief Economic Adviser and Principal Adviser in the Planning Commission, will now mentor FICCI’s public policy and economic work.

Arvind Virmani, former Chief Economic Adviser and Principal Adviser in the Planning Commission, will now mentor FICCI’s public policy and economic work.

“As the voice of Indian industry, FICCI has always been at the forefront of advocating policy change that would help drive economic development. Virmani’s association as Economic Mentor to FICCI is another step in our endeavour to continuously engage with the best minds for evolving the growth agenda for the Indian economy”, said Dr A Didar Singh, secretary-general, FICCI.

With his illustrious career as an adviser to the Government of India at the highest levels, including as Principal Adviser, Planning Commission and Chief Economic Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Virmani brings with him rich and invaluable experience that would help FICCI strengthen its work in the area of economic and public policy.
