Two persons were assaulted in different parts of the city, leaving them injured. The police have registered cases in this regard.
According to the police, Harwinder Singh, a resident of Khijargarh village, Mohali district, alleged that Pappu, a resident of Ram Darbar, attacked him with a knife at the Sector 43 market on March 16.
The complainant suffered injuries. He was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32. The police were informed about the incident following which a case has been registered at the Sector 36 police station. Later, the accused was arrested.
In another incident, Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Khuda Jassu, alleged that Vijay and three other persons attacked him with sticks near the Verka booth on the PGI campus.
The complainant, who suffered injuries, was admitted to the PGI. A case has been registered at the Sector 11 police station.
