New technologies like cyber security system are need of the hour. Such systems strengthen the Indian cyber space. This was stated by Dr Manjit Singh, Director of the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), on the 31st foundation day of C-DAC, Mohali.

Dr Manjit, who was presiding over the function at a hotel in Chandigarh, lauded the efforts of C-DAC engineers for contributing significantly to the advancement of computing technologies in the country.

An indigenously developed Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) platform with ultra-low power WSN motes and multiprotocol gateway was also launched. This system is capable of capturing signals wirelessly for remote monitoring and intelligent control.

An open source configurable project management information system for efficient and timely completion of projects has been developed by C-DAC.

Dr PK Khosla, Executive Director, enumerated that C-DAC has brought about massive digital transformation in the northern states, which have changed the way citizens utilise the services provided by the government. — TNS
