Husband, in-laws booked in dowry case

ZIRAKPUR: The police today registered a dowry harassment case against the husband and in-laws of a woman.



Zirakpur, June 25

The police today registered a dowry harassment case against the husband and in-laws of a woman.

Complainant Rinki Gupta of Baltana told the police that her husband Sumit Singla, father-in-law Satpal Singla and mother-in-law Shilpa Singla had been harassing her for dowry.

The couple tied the knot in 2015. Rinki alleged that her father had spent a huge amount on her wedding. She said they tortured her physically as well as mentally.

A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered. No arrest has been made so far. — OC
