JBT teacher ends her life in hotel

Chandigarh, July 22 

A woman JBT teacher reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself in the washroom of a hotel in Sector 22.

The police said the victim, Jyoti, who was working as a JBT teacher at a school in Shangi village, Rohtak, Haryana, had taken a room on rent at a hotel on Saturday. The victim was supposed to check out on Sunday afternoon. However, she did not open the door. After repeated knocks when the victim did not open the door, the hotel staff tried calling on her mobile, but it was found switched off. The police were informed after which a police team reached the spot. The police tried to open the door with duplicate keys, but the door was bolted from inside. The door was then broken and the victim was found hanging in the washroom.  — TNS
