Jewellery worth over Rs 3 lakh stolen

KHARAR: Gold ornaments worth more than Rs 3 lakh were stolen from the residence of Puneet Kumar in Ward No.2 here on Thursday.

Gold ornaments worth more than Rs 3 lakh were stolen from the residence of Puneet Kumar in Ward No.2 here on Thursday. The Kharar City police have registered a case under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC against unidentified persons in this connection. The complainant, Puneet Kumar, told the police that he worked in Chandigarh and on February 10, he left his house, along with his family. When they  came back at 9.30 pm, he noticed that locks  of the house were broken and thieves took away gold ornaments. —OC
