Ludhiana, April 20
Unbeaten centuries by openers Tikshan Tangri (120) and Karan Dhillon (107) helped hosts Ludhiana gain a huge 178-run lead against Hoshiarpur on the opening day of their two-day Punjab Inter-District (U-19) Cricket Tournament match here on Saturday and take the side close to an outright victory.
After bowling out Hoshiarpur for a paltry 60 runs in the first innings, Ludhiana declared their innings closed at 238/0 and then reduced the visitors to 15/6 before the end of the play today.
Amitoj was the most successful bowler for the hosts, picking up four wickets. Earlier, in the first innings, Gurmehar had claimed a five-wicket haul for Ludhiana.
