Mohali, April 19

RoundGlass Sports (RGS) went down 0-3 to Minerva Punjab FC in their third match of the Hero Junior League, at the Singhpura Road Stadium in Kurali on Friday.

RGS started on a confident note with their short passing game. But as the game progressed, Minerva boys got the measure of RGS’s tactics and prevented them from playing their trademark pressing game.

In the 11th minute, Minerva forward, Himangshu Jhangra latched on to a soft rebound off the RGS’ goalkeeper to tap the ball in from inside the box and help his side take the lead.

Minerva went into the half-time with one goal advantage.

In the second half, RGS tried to create a few chances, but their forwards were unable to find the target. With the clock ticking, RGS players switched to high press, leaving some space at the back. Minerva exploited the move and scored two more goals through Tongbram Singh (86th and 90+5th minutes) to seal the match 3-0.
