Pedalling across country to promote Swachh Bharat

CHANDIGARH:With a message of Swachh Bharat, a West Bengal native is pedalling across the country.

Chandigarh, June 25

With a message of Swachh Bharat, a West Bengal native is pedalling across the country. Having covered several states, he reached Chandigarh today.

Jaidev Raut, who began his bicycle journey on February 26, said: “I am impressed with the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to turn the country clean. I, on my way, motivate people to take a pledge to keep their surroundings clean.”

Raut said he had pedalled through Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and north-eastern states to finally reach the City Beautiful. “I have covered 9,000 km and will now travel to J&K,” he said.
