PANCHKULA: Sector 6 residents here have been complaining of poor condition of roads, electricity cuts, encroachment and haphazard parking in the sector market.

Panchkula, October 3

Sector 6 residents here have been complaining of poor condition of roads, electricity cuts, encroachment and haphazard parking in the sector market. The residents allege that despite several complaints, the issues are yet to be addressed by the authorities concerned.

There are large-scale encroachments all around the market resulting in very less space to walk and filthy conditions, they added.

Jiwan Agarwal, president of Sector 6 RWA, said, “There are around 600 families in the colony. Major issues include electricity cuts, pits and potholes near the sector market and encroachments by vendors. We have informed the MC officials many times, but they haven’t taken any concrete step to solve our issues.”

Another representative of Sector 6 RWA said, “Despite being one of the posh localities in the city, it lacks basic facilities. These include broken roads, no adequate parking in the market, and encroachment by the vegetable vendors, broken/missing railings, no proper garbage bins.” — TNS
