Residents of ATS Prelude Apartment resorted to agitation here on Sunday. They held a protest holding placards seeking fulfillment of promised amenities by developers of society. They gathered outside the ATS management office at 9.30 am and held a silent demonstration for nearly an hour for completion of their long pending demands.

Home buyers claimed that even after paying maintenance charges and repeated reminders the management had not shown them the audit report of where the money was spent.

“We have requested the management to strengthen security of the housing society after a recent break in at two locked flats on the June 13 night where in miscreants decamped with valuables worth lakhs,” they added.

Residents alleged that despite the theft incident guards at the entrance gates were not trained to handle visitors and regulate the entry of outsiders.

“At some locations of the society, CCTV cameras are missing and a few of those installed are lying defunct,” they said. The protesters added that the management of the housing society met representatives of the ATS Prelude Apartments Association fortnight ago and assured them that security at all entry and exit points would be strengthened, but till date nothing had been done.

Residents have now threatened to stop paying their monthly maintenance charges to the society management till their grievances are redressed on priority basis. Meanwhile, society management officials could not be contacted being Sunday.
