Rs 3.10 lakh stolen from cab provider’s office

CHANDIGARH: Two incidents of theft, including one at the office of a cab provider at Hallo Majra, have been reported from where Rs 3.10 lakh, two laptops and a CCTV hard disk had been stolen from his showroom at Hallo Majra village on February 18.

Two incidents of theft, including one at the office of a cab provider at Hallo Majra, have been reported from where Rs 3.10 lakh was stolen.

According to the police, complainant Gaurav Taneja, a resident of Zirakpur, who works as a manager with the cab operating company, reported that Rs 3.10 lakh, two laptops and a CCTV hard disk had been stolen from his showroom at Hallo Majra village on February 18.

The police said the locks of the shutter were cut to enter the company office, which rents out cabs to drivers.

A case has been registered at the Sector 31 police station. In another incident, complainant Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Sector 28, reported that a mobile phone, a purse containing Rs 3,000 and important documents were stolen from his house on the intervening night of February 17 and 18. The police have registered a case at the Sector 26 police station.
