Sanamdeep wins 300m gold

CHANDIGARH:Sanamdeep of New Public School, Sector 18, won the gold in the 300m event of the boys U-17 category on the penultimate day of the CBSE Cluster XVIII Athletics Meet at the Sector 46 Sports Complex on Sunday.

Sanamdeep of New Public School, Sector 18, won the gold in the 300m event of the boys U-17 category on the penultimate day of the CBSE Cluster XVIII Athletics Meet at the Sector 46 Sports Complex on Sunday. 

Naman Rathor of Guru Nanak Mission, Paonta Sahib, claimed the second position followed by Anshul of Rainbow World School, Himachal Pradesh. In the girls U-19 category of the same event, Shreya of DAV, Hamirpur, won the pole position, while Sneha of Chapslee School, Shimla, and Simanpreet of Sri Dashmesh Academy, Anandpur Sahib, claimed the second and third position, respectively. 

Mehtab Kaur of Delhi Public School, Sector 40, claimed the gold in the 400m event of the girls U-17 category. Sapna Kumari of Doon Valley Public School, Himachal Pradesh, finished second and Jasneet Kaur of Murlidhar DAV, Ambala, finished third. In the girls U-19 category, Aakansha Thakur of DAV Public School, Hamirpur, Daljeet of Guru Nanak Mission, and Bharti of The Scholar's Home claimed the top-3 positions, respectively. 

Anmoldeep wins gold 

in discus throw  

In the discus throw event of the girls U-19 category, Anmoldeep of St Soldier International School, Sector 28, claimed the gold. Arshpreet of Lawrence Public School, Mohali, and Harleen of Sri Dashmesh Academy, Anandpur Sahib, claimed the silver and bronze, respectively. 

Dhananter of Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, won the gold in the boys U-19 category. Raj Roshan of Chitkara International School, Sector 25, won the silver medal and Harjog Singh of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate School, Sector 26, claimed the bronze medal. 

In the boys U-17 category, Abhinav Saini of Blue Bells School, Ambala, Rohit of RIS Wagroda, Himachal Pradesh, and Himanshu Kaushal of Shivalik Public School, Mohali, claimed the top-3 position, respectively. Khushi Rana of PML SD Public School, Sector 32, won the gold, while Stenzin Dawa of Central School for Tibetans, Shimla, and Nadani Singh of SN Public School, Kharar, won the silver and bronze medal, respectively. 

Yeshi claims top spot 

Yeshi Tapjor of Central School for Tibetans, Dalhousie, won the gold in the boys U-19 javelin throw event. Preet Kamal Singh of Mata Sahib Kaur Public School, Roopnagar, claimed the silver and Kiratjeet Singh of SD School won the bronze. In the girls U-19 category, Jiwanjot Kaur of CVS Public School, Ambala, won the gold, followed by Tashi Angmo of Central School for Tibetans, Shimla, at the second position. Ridhi Mittal of St Joseph's Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, finished third.
