Steel Strips-I win bridge title

CHANDIGARH:Steel Strips-I comprising Subhash Gupta, Sapan Desai, B. Satyanarayan and Savrendu won the title in the third 7th Steel Strips National Bridge Championship, organised by the Punjab Bridge Association, on Sunday.

Chandigarh, April 15

Steel Strips-I comprising Subhash Gupta, Sapan Desai, B. Satyanarayan and Savrendu won the title in the third 7th Steel Strips National Bridge Championship, organised by the Punjab Bridge Association, on Sunday. 

Steel Strips-I scored a total of 116.53 points to win the title. Dhampur Sugar team comprising Akanksha Vyas, B Saha, Ashok Goel and Sujit Bhattacharya scored 78.73 points, while Delhi Blues comprising Prakash Bhandari, DK Tewari, PC Gupta and Sengupta finished third with 71.30 points. 

Punjab Bridge Association-I, consisting of KR Lakhanpal, Guriqbal Singh, Sant Parkash Sharma and MS Sharma, claimed the fourth position with 64.26 points. Spartans comprising TC Pant, Anil, Ambrish Vadhera and Devi Bhatnagar scored 63.68 points to claim the fifth spot. 

In the pair category, RM Aggarwal and MR Aggarwal finished at the pole position with 715.7 points, while Joyroop Malik and Arita Bhattacharya finished second with 712.4 points. Puneet Gangal and Siddharth claimed the third position with 662.3 points.
