Tandon meets UT Adviser, discusses various issues

City BJP president Sanjay Tandon met UT Adviser Manoj Parida. He took up various problems of traders, UT employees, housing society residents and villagers of the city with the Adviser and requested him to resolve these at the earliest.

Tandon had met UT Administrator and Punjab Governor VP Badnore last week regarding these problems. Badnore had assured that all issues would be resolved at the earliest. He had asked Tandon to meet the UT Adviser to take up the issues further.

Tandon said small traders, especially those operating from booths, do not have enough space to store their goods. Therefore, they should be allowed to store goods on the rooftops of their booths.

He also requested the UT Adviser that permission should be granted to run shops on the first floor of the buildings. He urged him that various fines imposed on traders should be reduced.

Sanjay also took up the cause of UT employees. He also asked Parida that all pending projects and schemes related to UT employees should be implemented at the earliest. Tandon had earlier taken up the issue with the HRD Ministry too.

Tandon also apprised the Adviser that over 700 workers under the 

NHRM Scheme had not been paid salaries for over 2 months now. He said the Administration should take appropriate steps so that these employees should get their wages in stipulated time.

He also took up various problems being faced by residents of housing societies. He said easy procedure should be implemented to get the property registered for housing society members. He said various fines imposed on residents for encroachments, especially in Sector 19, which had already been removed, should be revoked.


‘Workers under NHRM Scheme not paid salaries’

City BJP president Sanjay Tandon also apprised UT Adviser Manoj Parida that over 700 workers under the NHRM Scheme had not been paid salaries for over 2 months now. He said the Administration should take appropriate steps so that these employees should get their wages in stipulated time.
