Three-day book fair to enthral bibliophiles

To inculcate the habit of book reading, DAV Patiala, in collaboration with Scholastics Pvt Ltd organised a 3-day book fair in its premises. The book fair was inaugurated by principal Vivek Tiwari. He motivated the students with his words  to inculcate the habit of book reading in their routine. He also apprised the students of importance of literacy. He asked all the students to develop passion for reading.

During the fair, more than 8,000 books on different subjects were displayed and keenly observed by the students. Many books dealt with the CBSE patterns and were sufficient enough to give wings to the children’s imagination. 

The event was witnessed and enjoyed by over 2,000 students, parents and members of the school staff. Many even showed interest in the purchase. On the whole, it was a successful venture, which was organised under the supervision of Meenakshi Vashisht.
