Chandigarh: Amateur Throwball Association of Chandigarh will organise State Throwball Championship from August 30 to 31, at Sector 7 sports complex.



Chandigarh: Amateur Throwball Association of Chandigarh will organise State Throwball Championship from August 30 to 31, at Sector 7 sports complex. The championship will be organised in junior and senior category. The players born or after January 1, 2001, will be eligible to participate in the junior category while in senior categories there will be no age bar. A player must be resident/working/studying in Chandigarh for participating in the senior category. The interested teams can submit their entries with the organisers before August 29.

Shooting competition from Sept 1

The 42nd Chandigarh State Shooting Championship has been re-scheduled .The championship will be now held from September 1 to 3 due to prevailing situation in the city. Earlier, the championship was scheduled to be held from August 25 to 27. The shooters can register their participation on September 1 at the PU shooting range for air weapons event and at Sector 25 shooting range for firearms event.

St Soldier’s win by 20 runs

Panchkula: St Soldier's School defeated The British School by 20 runs in the inter-school cricket championship. Batting first, St Soldier's School scored 106/4 in 12 overs. Sagar Sharma (39), Nageshwar (23) and Yash Singla (12) posted majority of runs in the total. Aryan (2/16) and Ashmeet (2/22) claimed equal share of wickets for the bowling side. In reply, The British School scored 86 runs before getting all out in 11.4 overs. — TNS
