Ton-up Angad helps Punjab & Haryana HC XI to 8-wkt win

CHANDIGARH:Angad smashed an unbeaten 59-ball 103 to help Punjab & Haryana High Court XI register an eight-wicket win over Ludhiana Cricket Bar Association in the ongoing third Justice VK Bali T20 Cricket Championship here on Saturday.

Angad smashed an unbeaten 59-ball 103 to help Punjab & Haryana High Court XI register an eight-wicket win over Ludhiana Cricket Bar Association in the ongoing third Justice VK Bali T20 Cricket Championship here on Saturday. 

Batting first, the Ludhiana side scored 172/7 in 20 overs. Ritesh Dhir made 43, while Kawalpreet Singh hit a brisk 32. Robind claimed three wickets for Punjab & Haryana HC XI, while Puneet Bali, Anad Bishnoi and Aman Singh bagged a wicket each. 

Needing to score at 8.65 runs per over for victory, the local team aided by Anagad’s blitzkrieg reached home in 15.5 overs with eight wickets to spare. Aman Pal made 45 runs. 

In another match, Delhi Lawyers Cricket Association beat Advocate Sports Association of Delhi by 36 runs. 

Batting first, Delhi Lawyers  scored 182/7 in 20 overs with Amdhav Sharma (52) and Pardeep Yadav (51) scoring a half-century each.  

Sanjeev Choudhary and Varun Sharma claimed two wickets apiece, while Manish Mathur picked one wicket. 

In reply, Advocate Sports Association were all out for 146 runs. Naveen Gaur claimed three wickets for Delhi Lawyers, while Pardeep and Sumit Dalal took two wickets each. Ankit Sethi (49) and Milan Malhotra (36) did the bulk of scoring for Advocate Sports Association.

In the last match of the day, Icon of Humanity registered a 10-wicket win over District Bar Association, Patiala.
