Ambala, February 14

The Ambala police have arrested three people, including the wife of Nasir Khan (50), who was found murdered at his house in Sirasgarh village of Mullana here on Wednesday.

The suspects have been identified as Nasir’s wife Shahjahan, Ramesh, a resident of Barara, and Vinod, a resident of Zafarpur village.

According to information, Shahjahan was nabbed on Wednesday while her two accomplices were arrested today. Nasir and Shahjahan had a dispute on Tuesday night following which the woman called her alleged beau Ramesh Kumar, who also brought Vinod Kumar with him. The suspects used a piece of cloth to strangulate him.

The woman wanted to get the cremation done at the earliest but the relatives, including the deceased’s son, observed that there were some marks on Nasir’s neck following which they informed the police.

Sources said the relations between the husband and the wife were not cordial and Nasir had suspicion over the character of his wife.

Nasir’s wife and daughter Noorjahan were at home along with him on Tuesday night. The elder daughter of the deceased got married to a dhaba owner around two months ago, but her father was not happy with this marriage.

Ranjit Singh, SHO of the Mullana police station, said: “Three people, including Nasir’s wife, have been arrested. They had used a piece of cloth to strangulate Nasir.” A case was registered under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC at the Mullana police station.
