Woman ‘falls’ from 11th floor, stable

A woman in her mid-30s fell from 11the floor of Purab Apartments at Sector 88, Mohali, on Monday night. 

The victim has been identified as Simrat Kaur Brar, who was living on 11th floor of D7 tower.

Inspector Manphul Singh, Station House Officer, Sohana police station said the incident, which occurred around 10.50 pm today, could also be an attempt to suicide. 

“Some residents took the victim to a private hospital before the police arrived on the spot. We are yet to record statement of the victim,” the SHO said.

According to the police, the victim was living with her husband Gurwant Singh on rent  at Purab Apartments. Further investigations are on, said the SHO. The victim is said to be stable.
