A delegation of the Delhi BJP today submitted a memorandum to Election Commission over the AAP’s allegation of illegal deletion of 30 lakh voters' names in the national capital.

Seeking action against Delhi's ruling party for levelling "unfounded allegations", the delegation said that this was done with an aim to dent the faith of people in the poll panel.

The delegation was led by Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, who demanded the EC to de-recognise the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for carrying out "baseless and scurrilous propaganda" against it.

"It is being portrayed as if the EC is under the clutches of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)," memorandum said.

Tiwari said the Chief Election Commissioner has assured appropriate action in the matter and added his party might approach the High Court against the AAP's "propaganda".
