DPCC chief forms 7 committees for LS polls

NEW DELHI:The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president, Sheila Dikshit has constituted seven committees, including election and manifesto committees, in which central and local leaders and those considered her anti in the party were included leaving no room for opposition within the party.

The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president, Sheila Dikshit has constituted seven committees, including election and manifesto committees, in which central and local leaders and those considered her anti in the party were included leaving no room for opposition within the party.

Sources in the party said the committees were announced after discussion on various levels and approval of the party high command. In these committees, representatives of all communities and caste have been given places. Sheila Dikshit  has engaged all without considering groups.

The seven committees are: Pradesh Election Committee, Coordination Committee, Election Management Team, Campaign Committee, Publicity Committee, Media Coordination Committee and Manifesto Committee.

Dikshit is chairperson of Pradesh Election Committee along with her working presidents – Haroon Yusif, Devendra Yadav and Rajesh Lilothia. Besides, central leaders Dr Karan Singh, Janardan Dwivedi, Jai Prakash Agarwal, Kapil Sibbal, Parvez Hashmi, former DPCC presidents Ajay Maken and Arvinder Singh Lovely, former MPs Sandeep Dikshit.
