New Delhi, January 10

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Manjit Singh (GK) said that voters' list prepared by the Directorate of Gurdwara Elections, Delhi Government, has various anomalies as 38 per cent voters' list is without the photographs of electorate.

He said the list without photographs of the voters will not be authentic. Many voters will be deprived of exercising their franchise in the DSGMC elections.

The AAP government failed to get the list prepared on time that proves that it is against the Sikh community. Elections on the basis of old list is violation of court direction as in 2012 the Supreme Court had asked for the election on the basis of voters' list that had photographs of electorate. The list with photographs should have been prepared till December 31, 2013, but still 38 per cent list does not have photos that put the entire machinery of election department under suspense, GK said.

Demanding resignation of Minister of Gurdwara Elections Kapil Mishra, he said that the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) would not allow the government to deprive the Sikhs from exercising their franchise.
