How will you define your journey in the telly world so far?
It’s been seven years in television, so far so good. I have preferred quality over quantity, have done only those roles which have appealed to me in a certain way and not just because I want be seen on TV. I am very choosy when it comes to work and that’s why I do less work!
Which show and character is close to your heart and why?
I loved playing SSP Arpita Khanna in Diya aur Baati. I think this character will always be special to me as I have really worked hard.
Who are the actors in the industry whom you look up to and why?
I really admire Priyanka Chopra’s body of work; I love being an all-rounder and so does she. We both have passion towards our craft in common.
You are married and have a daughter too, but you hardly talk about personal life. Why so?
I have been talking about them on special occasions; I don’t go gaga about my personal life.
Who are your friends in the industry? Do you feel in the industry relationships are fragile?
I have no friends in the industry. I am here to work and to focus on my career. But I do treat my co-actors well.
What’s the secret behind your lean look?
The credit goes to my husband, Vishal, as he is a fitness maniac in our crazy household! He doesn’t let me miss out on my workout or on my healthy diet. I eat only home-cooked meals and try to stick to the timings. I don’t eat anything after 8 pm and am regular with my fitness regimen.
