Taking exception to the alleged gangrape of a girl at Dharamsala, the state convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajan Sushant has asked the state government to clear its stand on the shameful incident within 48 hours failing which AAP would resort to statewide stir.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Dr Sushant stated that a meeting of AAP would be held at Dharamsala tomorrow to decide the further line of action concerning this incident.

Sushant alleged that the law and order situation had deteriorated and that was why such incidents were occurring. In this series, the district unit of AAP would organise a road show and candle march in Chamba while a state-level protest rally would be organised at Shimla on June 9.

With a view to strengthening the AAP organisation, Sushant said the executive committees had been constituted in 10 districts thereby covering 60 Assembly constituencies. Similar committees would also be formed in all panchayats of the state.

AAP district convener PC Oberoi said Hem Singh Thakur had been nominated as the convener of the Chamba Assembly constituency while Jai Singh as convener of the Churah constituency.
