“The BJP will not only win more than 50 out of 68 seats in next Assembly elections in the state but also breach the 60-seat mark as the political situation in the state is rife for a change and the party is getting overwhelming response from people,” claimed former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, PK Dhumal, here today.

Dhumal, who returned from a tour of the tribal Kinnaur district, said people were disillusioned and disappointed with four years of Congress rule and were coming to BJP rallies in huge numbers indicating the rout of the Congress in the Assembly polls.

Accusing the government of failure on all fronts, Dhumal said all sections of society were annoyed with the government for not implementing its poll promises. He said the Chief Minister “utilised” four years in power to save his government and had no concern with the problems of people.

“Honest and dedicated employees are being victimised, senior employees are being made to work under their juniors, DA installments and other dues of government servants and pensioners are not being paid on time and the promise to give pension on the Punjab pattern has not been fulfilled,” Dhumal alleged.
