SONEPAT, AUGUST 31

Bajrang Dass Garg, president of the Haryana Beopar Mandal, has demanded that the reservation in government services should be on the economic and not caste basis.

Addressing core committee members of the mandal here today, he said: “Members of every section of society — whether he is a rehriwala or footpath seller — are a part of the business community and they should get the benefit of reservation.” He claimed that it would benefit every poor family of every caste.

While advocating protection of the interests of the business community, Garg said a commission agent was not a middleman in trading, but a medium who works as a link between the government and farmers. “A businessman not only sustains his family but also fills the government treasury,” Garg remarked.

Sanjay Singla, president of the Sonepat Beopar Mandal, welcomed the invitees and detailed the demands of the business community.
