Governor NN Vohra, who is also Chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), today visited the yatra control room, which also has the helpline facility.
The control room is located in the office of Jitendra Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the shrine board.
PK Tripathi, Chief Executive Officer of the shrine board, informed the Governor that earlier (from June 15 to 30) the helpline was functional from 9.30 am to 6 pm on all weekdays.
“From today onwards, the helpline has started functioning round the clock till the conclusion of the yatra,” he said. The CEO stated that interested pilgrims could also gather yatra-related information through the shrine board’s website by logging on to www.shriamarnathjishrine.com and also send e-queries through e-mail on [email protected].
These facilities have been provide to enable intending yatris to be suitably informed about the yatra arrangements and provide the required guidance.
The CEO said the rates of various services for the yatra, duly approved by the departments concerned of the state government, had been uploaded on the shrine board’s website. The rates for ponies, pithoos, dandies, tents, rent for prefabricated huts, ration items and SRTC buses are also available on the site.
