Govt to honour 37 cops on I-Day

DEHRADUN: The state government has announced the names of awardees, who will be felicitated on Independence Day.

The state government has announced the names of awardees, who will be felicitated on Independence Day. Chief Minister, Harish Rawat is likely to felicitate 37 policemen during the Independence Day celebrations.

Those who have been shortlisted for awards are:

Chief Minister’s Commendable award: Inspector RS Panwar and Head Constable Mahendra Singh.

Distinguished Service Medal: ASP Lokjeet Singh, Inspector Kailash Panwar, Commandant DS Mehta, SHO Jhabrera Rakesh Gusain, Sub-Inspector Mahendra Chauhan, Head Constable Kushal Ram, constables Sahbad Ahmed, Veejandra Chauhan, Rajendra Kumar, Ashish Kumar and Kishan Chander.

Distinguished service award for best service: Sub-Inspectors VP Pathak and Arun Kumar; constables Amrandera, BN Goswami.

Commendable award Service: Inspector Vipin, Sub-Inspectors GS Mehta, Balam Singh, Shishupal and Mohan Ram, Head Constables PD Joshi and Ramesh Ram, fireman Khajan Singh and constable Sadhna.

Commendable award for best service: Commandant Matvar Singh, Platoon Commander SS Negi, Sub-Inspectors KN Chilkoti, RK Sakhlani and Suresh Sakhlani, ASI Dheeraj Rathi, constables Deshraj, Rakesh, Praveen Goswami, Kunal Rawat and Satendra Singh.
