MANDI AHMEDGARH: Haseena and Gurnam Singh of Government Degree College, Karamsar, were declared best athletes among their respective categories during the annual athletics meet that concluded at Rara Sahib village, near here, today.

Mandi Ahmedgarh, March 22

Haseena and Gurnam Singh of Government Degree College, Karamsar, were declared best athletes among their respective categories during the annual athletics meet that concluded at Rara Sahib village, near here, today.

Principal Dharam Singh presided over the concluding function and Senate Member, Punjab University, Chandigarh, Dr Inderpal Singh gave away prizes to the victorious athletes.

Kamal Sharma, superintendent at the college, said over 100 students from various streams had participated in the two-day athletics meet which was inaugurated earlier by Sant Baba Baljinder Singh of Karamsar Gurdwara Trust.

Speakers including Dharam Singh, Baba Baljinder Singh and Dr Inderpal Singh called upon students and youth of the region to adopt sportsmanship as an element of their lifestyle.
