Bhiwani, June 5

The All-India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti today staged a dharna at Dadri and Dhanana villages of the district.

The protesters at Dadri declared to continue the dharna for an indefinite period in spite of the district administration’s directive to end it today evening.

Dadri SDM Bijender Hooda said the permission to conduct a dharna was for a day and it would not be extended.

Rajkumar Hadhodi, district president of the AIJASS, sat on dharna in Charkhi Dadri’s Sector 8 and declared to continue it for an indefinite period.

He said Jats would not back out, as the state government has betrayed them by not quashing cases against “innocent” Jats.

Prominent khaps Sangwan, Sheoran and Phogat kept away from the dharna.

At Dhanana, protesters were initially reluctant to end the dharna, but later gave in to the police pressure.
