The police are geared up for the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for kicking off golden jubilee celebrations of Haryana’s creation.

They have drawn up detailed plans for police deployment and traffic management.

Around 4,500 cops will be deployed in Gurgaon during the event on November 1. Security forces have started arriving in the city. Besides, mounted force, commandoes, snipers, a bomb-disposal squad, a dog squad, Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) force, Rapid Action Force (RAF), Quick Response Team (QRT) and Special Protection Group (SPG) have arrived in the city.

“It is a big event. There will be several VIPs other than the PM. Be it managing law and order or the traffic, the police are up for the challenge. Every single cop and member of the additional force will work with utmost efficiency,” said Commissioner of Police Sandeep Khirwar. TNS
