Some unknown miscreants struck at a Vita booth in Sector 28 early this morning and decamped with milk products, sweets and a number of bottles of flavoured milk and cash, all amounting to Rs 30,000.

According to the complainant Veer, the booth was opened ten days ago. He found the bolt broken when he came to the booth in the morning.

“They stole 15 big boxes of ‘pinnis’, two cartons of flavoured milk, ghee, butter and cheese. My father or I usually sleep inside. But thankfully, we were not sleeping inside else they would have attacked us,” said Veer, who hails from Kaithal.

Aashiana flats are located adjacent to the booth.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Jagtar Singh, confirmed the theft and said a case has been lodged at the Chandimandir police station. Hunt to look for the accused is on. “We will verify from those staying in the Aashiana flats,” said the ACP.
