Nurpur: Following a tipoff, the local police caught Anju devi, a resident of ward number two, Nurpur, while selling charas to drug addicts.The police recovered 110 gram charas and Rs 14,710 from her possession on Friday night.

Following a tipoff, the local police caught Anju devi, a resident of ward number two, Nurpur, while selling charas to drug addicts.The police recovered 110 gram charas and Rs 14,710 from her possession on Friday night.The DSP, Nurpur, said she had been arrested and a case under Section 20-61-1985 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against her.Meanwhile, the accused was produced in the court on Saturday evening and remanded in three days police custody. — OC

BSF lift football trophy

Border Security Force (BSF) football team on Sunday lifted the winner trophy at the All-India Football Festival that concluded at the Football Academy situated in Khad village of Una district by defeating the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) team after a tie breaker. Eight teams from different parts of the country participated in the four-day event. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar gave prizes to the winners. International Cambridge School, Kullu, bagged the prestigious International School Award (ISA) 2015-2018 for outstanding development as per international dimension in the curriculum.
