‘Mahipal had strained relations with wife’

Gunman Mahipal Singh, a resident of Bhungarka village in Mahendragarh district, had joined the Haryana Police 11 years ago and his maternal uncle had helped him in getting the job.

Gunman Mahipal Singh, a resident of Bhungarka village in Mahendragarh district, had joined the Haryana Police 11 years ago and his maternal uncle had helped him in getting the job. He was married to Meenu of Rojka village in Rewari.

Initially, Mahipal had strained relations with Meenu, forcing the latter to go back home. At that time too, his maternal uncle played an important role to get their marital issue resolved. Mahipal, father of two daughters, had changed his religion three years ago and constructed a house in Bhungarka village.

Some villagers had resisted his move of religion conversion. Then, Mahipal, along with his wife and daughters, shifted to the Police lines in Gurugram, while his mother has been residing at her brother’s house in Rewari’s Kosli town. Mahipal was reportedly also not on good terms with his mother.
