Chandigarh, June 26

Taking cognisance of allegations of question paper and answer keys of competitive examinations getting leaked, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has made it clear that coercive and corrective orders are required to be passed.

A vacation Bench of the High Court has directed the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) chairman to file an affidavit, giving a list of officials who handled question paper or answer key during the examination for naib tehsildars.

The directions by Justice Rajbir Sehrawat came on a petition filed by Neha Chandel against the HPSC. She had challenged the examination held by the HPSC on May 26 for the post of naib tehsildar on the ground that the paper was leaked and the police caught hold of a gang involved in supplying it.

Issuing notice of motion for July 8, Justice Sehrawat asserted that the court had come across some other cases with similar allegations and this kind of a situation could not be countenanced with coercive and corrective orders becoming imperative.
