The district police have summoned the owners of Ryan International School for questioning on Monday. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued summons to school CEO Ryan Pinto, MD Grace Pinto and chairman Augustine Pinto in connection with the murder of Pradyuman Thakur, a Class II student, on September 8.

“The summons has been issued to the owners under Section 75 of the Justice Juvenile Act and we expect that they will join the investigation in time. Appropriate action can be taken against them if they ignore the summons,” said Ashok Bakshi, DCP (South) and head of the SIT.

A police official said the two management employees told the police that whatever proposals pertaining to security or infrastructure of school reached them, they forwarded them to Mumbai. Even school’s former and current principals stated that they had raised security concerns numerous times, but the management never paid any head, he added.

Meanwhile, Pradyuman’s father Varun Thakur said that they would approach the Supreme Court on Monday if the CBI did not start probe in two days.

Thakur said he had met several leaders for speedy probe and was disappointed over the delay and thus would take legal help in getting the probe started.
