It’s getting worse, claims Chaudhary

NEW DELHI: State Congress vice-president Subhash Chaudhary today urged President Ram Nath Kovind to dismiss the state government on account of spurt in crime, especially rape and killings.

New Delhi, January 21

State Congress vice-president Subhash Chaudhary today urged President Ram Nath Kovind to dismiss the state government on account of spurt in crime, especially rape and killings. “The BJP had formed the government on the electoral promise to improve law and order. Far from improving, it has gone to the dogs,” he said.

“Just like other poll promises, the one on law and ordered has been junked,” he said. He said officers did not seem to be in control of the CM. “Fear and anxiety have gripped citizens of the state,” he said. Other cases of crime had reared their head in the past few days, he added. — TNS
