The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two commission agents working in the Charkhi Dadri Road Transport Authority (RTA) for their alleged involvement in preparing fake registration certificates (RC) of stolen luxury cars.

Commission agents, identified as Manoj of Charkhi Dadri and Jaiveer of Bahardurgarh in Jhajjar district, have been taken in two days’ police custody. They reportedly confessed to spending around Rs2.5 lakh for getting RTA’s approval for a single RC.

The STF seized a laptop, printers, insurance documents, bill books, fake attestation stamps, six original RCs and other papers required for registration of vehicles.

The involvement of RTA employees would be probed, said STF incharge Satish Deswal.
