Send report on damage to property, govt tells DCs

CHANDIGARH: The government, in compliance with an order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, has directed all DCs except those in Panchkula, Hisar, Palwal and Sirsa to send the report regarding damage to public and private property directly to the office of Advocate General.

The government, in compliance with an order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, has directed all DCs except those in Panchkula, Hisar, Palwal and Sirsa to send the report regarding damage to public and private property directly to the office of Advocate General.

A spokesman of the Chief Secretary’s office said the High Court had passed an order as per which DCs in Haryana and Punjab would invite applications or claims regarding damage to public and private property, which would be verified and forwarded to the court through the office of the Advocate General concerned.
