Panipat, January 17
The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Shashi Bala Chauhan on Thursday sentenced a 29-year-old youth to 10-year imprisonment for molesting a three-and-a-half-year-old girl child. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on him.
The incident took place on May 22, 2017, in Samalkha area. According to the case details, a woman had lodged a complaint at Samalkha police station that a youth, Sachin, took her daughter to his home and molested her. The girl narrated the incident to her mother after returning home.
The court has further ordered that in case of non-payment of fine, Sachin will have to undergo imprisonment for another year. — TNS
