UNA: The last rites of BSF Havildar Sanjeev Kumar (52), who died in a hospital in Srinagar two days ago, were performed at his ancestral Saloh village in Una district with full state honours today.

UNA, February 11

The last rites of BSF Havildar Sanjeev Kumar (52), who died in a hospital in Srinagar two days ago, were performed at his ancestral Saloh village in Una district with full state honours today.

The soldier, deployed in Srinagar, suddenly went unwell and was moved to a military hospital where he died. Sanjeev Kumar leaves behind his mother Shakuntala Devi, wife Saroj Bala and two daughters Deeksha and Aditi. The soldier’s brother Rajiv Kumar lit the pyre.

Earlier, Vice-Chairman of the HPSIDC Ram Kumar Sharma and Haroli SDM Gaurav Chaudhary laid wreath on behalf the government and district administration. — OC
