Ensure civic amenities at all bus stands in the state: HC

The HP High Court has directed the Managing Director, HRTC, to ensure all civic amenities at the bus stands of the state.

During the course of hearing, the Managing Director, HRTC, was present before the court and assured the court that the HRTC would comply by all directions of the court. He further assured the court that woman guards would be posted outside toilets.

After hearing the matter for some time, a Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Sandeep Sharma further directed the Managing Director to file a compliance affidavit within two weeks and listed the matter for further hearing on August 10. The court passed the order on a public interest litigation highlighting the issue of lack of civic amenities at the ISBT, Shimla.
