Geeta new SJVNL Director (personnel)

Geeta Kapur has been appointed the director (personnel) of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited.

Currently, she holds the position of the general manager (human resource), SJVNL. She is the first woman to have been appointed to the post. Geeta succeeds Nand Lal Sharma, who has been made the Chairman-cum-Managing Director.

She was selected by the Public Enterprise Selection Board, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, in an interview, where she faced a stiff competition from other senior candidates from various public sector undertakings. She had joined SJVNL in 1992 as a personnel officer.

She has an experience of 30 years.

Geeta said she would work towards putting SJVNL on the list of “great place to work in”.
