An Indian Army JCO and a civilian woman were killed after heavy rains caused a multi-storey building to collapse on Kumarhatti-Nahan road on Sunday.
The building that housed Sehaj Tandoori Dhabha came crashing down on Sunday evening, trapping 30 people were trapped under the rubble, sources in the district administration said. Eighteen people have been pulled out so far, but rain has slowed down rescue operations.

Around 12 Army personnel of the 4 Assam Regiment Dagshai and seven civilians are still trapped. The Army JCO declared dead was among those pulled out.
Authorities identified those killed as Archana, wife of the hotel owner, and JCO Raj Kishore.
Additional District Magistrate Vivek Chandel and Deputy Superintendent of Police Yogesh Rolta are both at the site of collapse. An NDRF team from Panchkula has also arrived.
