NIFT-Kangra convocation tomorrow

KANGRA: The National institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will hold a convocation on its Kangra campus at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College auditorium on May 29.

The National institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will hold a convocation on its Kangra campus at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College auditorium on May 29. As many as 149 students will be awarded degrees.

Stating this here today, Joint Director, NIFT, Kangra, Dinesh Rangra said Sonam Wangchuk, innovator, education reformist and founding-director of the Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh, will give degrees to the students.

Rangra said the students of the department of fashion technology would present their research work in the seminar ‘Technova’ and propose solutions to technical issues faced by the apparel industry. The students of the fashion communication department would display their work on graphics, promotions, advertising, marketing and retail and branding for leading national and international brands tomorrow.

Rangra said Director General, NIFT, Sarda Muraleedharan, will also attend the convocation.
