Pbi Lekhak Sabha releases book on satire

JAMMU: The Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Regd.) today organised a literary programme to release Punjabi satire book titled ‘Danda Ooncha Rahe Hamara’ written by Monojit, a well known Punjabi satire writer of J&K.

The Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Regd.) today organised a literary programme to release Punjabi satire book titled ‘Danda Ooncha Rahe Hamara’ written by Monojit, a well known Punjabi satire writer of J&K.

Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, presided over the programme while Baljeet Kaur, HoD, punjabi department of University of Jammu was the chief guest, Lalit Magotra, president, Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, was the guest of honour and noted Punjabi short story writer Khalid Hussain was the special guest.

S Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, former president, PLS, welcoming the guests said the released book contained 12 satire pieces. He impressed that Punjabi satire work of Monojit needed to be included in programmes like Prasar Bharti’s lecture programme ‘Jammu Ka Hasya - Vyangya Lekhan’. Speaking on the occasion, Arvinder Singh Amn said the contribution of Monojit in the field of Punjabi satire is incomparable. He appreciated his style of expression as a satirist of Punjabi language.

Baljeet Kaur, Lalit Magotra, Khalid Hussain from the presidium and Pritam Singh also expressed their views. Monojit Singh expressed his gratitude towards the lovers of his satire work.
