Schools to give e-waste info

Following directions of the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) to get information about e-waste (electrical and electronic equipments), the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, (DSEJ) has issued instructions to all chief education officers (CEOs) to send the same in already prescribed formats.



Following directions of the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) to get information about e-waste (electrical and electronic equipments), the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, (DSEJ) has issued instructions to all chief education officers (CEOs) to send the same in already prescribed formats. The information will be filed by heads of schools, which would later be submitted to zonal education officers (ZEOs), who will further forward it to the respective CEOs. The CEOs will then submit it to the DSEJ, which is to be handed over to the SPCB.

Applications invited

The Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of assistant professors on permanent basis in different subjects. The subjects for which the applications are invited are botany, chemistry, commerce, education, English, geology, mathematics, physics and zoology. 

Hardships for IGNOU learners

Due to the prevailing tense situation, learners of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) have not been able to reach its regional office at Government SPMR College of Commerce, Canal Road, for queries. The online services are already affected due to shutting down of internet services. Most of the student queries were related to admission in various under graduate/ post graduate programmes in arts and commerce stream.
