Jalandhar, July 18

Two youths were seriously injured after a car they were travelling in rammed into a bus going ahead of the four-wheeler on the Phagwara-Jalandhar road here on Wednesday.

As per eyewitnesses, the impact of the collision was so huge that the car went under the bus and it took over two hours to get the youths out of the damaged car.

Area Station House Officer(SHO) SS Butter said the two youths, who were the occupants of the car, were going on a high speed and rammed into a Punjab Roadways bus (bearing registration number PB09X 5702).

“Since the condition of both youths is serious, we have not taken their statements so far. Only once their condition stabilises, we will be able to ascertain the exact reason of the mishap,” said Butter.

The SHO said the bus was compounded and a case had been registered at the Cantt police station.
